Datacraft has won a two-year, $5.5 million contract to support and maintain on-site technical service for the backbone network of one of South Korea's leading fixed-line telecommunications service providers, hanarotelecom. The contract was awarded in July 2007. The agreement follows Datacraft's successful migration last year of hanarotelecom's core IP network to a next-generation terabit routing platform. The new platform is designed to give the service provider the performance headroom it needs to keep expanding its portfolio of triple-play services in the next few years. Datacraft now provides maintenance services for hanarotelecom in Chungchung and Honam, in addition to the existing agreements in DongJak and Seocho provinces. The services include outsourced engineering support, which enables each facility to serve the other whilst any technical issues are quickly resolved. |
